In his free time, Jonathan loves to cook and soak up the culture and cuisine of other areas for inspiration. Cepelak is also an avid sports enthusiast; he enjoys playing basketball, reading and participating in various outdoor activities.

Jonathan Cepelak is a dedicated leader in the food and beverage industry. Like most aspiring business professionals, Jonathan got his start at local restaurants and quickly worked his way up to management.

Growing up, Jonathan Cepelak always had a taste for fine dining. Having worked at various restaurants, across different states, Cepelak quickly grew to love food from varying cultures. While working at a high-end Italian restaurant in New York, Cepelak had the opportunity to learn from the chef who was from Italy. During his time studying Hotel and Resort Management at Suffolk County Community College, Jonathan accepted an internship in Florence Italy. Throughout his time in Florence, while working at the Borghese Palace Hotel, Clepak had the rare opportunity to further expand his palate and love for various cuisines.

For the past 6 years, Jonathan has been working in management-level positions at eateries on Long Island. From 2014 to 2018 Cepelak worked as a Restaurant Manager at Caci North Fork Restaurant. Under this role, Jonathan had the opportunity to craft his leadership skills, training and supervising over 25 fine-dining servers. For 4 years, Cepelak regularly maximized customer satisfaction, by interacting daily with dining guests to promote the brand and using feedback to improve their overall service. At Caci North Fork Restaurant, Jonathan often partnered with the executive chef and owners to craft enticing cocktail menus, and curate a desired wine list.

In 2018, Cepelak accepted a position with Green Hill Corporation LLC as a Beverage manager. For the next year, Cepelak successfully supervised beverage preparation and service experiences for patrons at two restaurants. In 2019, Cepelak accepted his most recent role as Assistant Manager at Greenport Harbor Brewery. Today, Cepelak uses his years of experience and knowledge to expertly pair food and beverage selections at the two microbreweries.

Jonathan Cepelak has his SCDOH food handler’s certificate, is a trained bartender, a cocktail recipe enthusiast and is TIPS certified. Affluent in fine dining service and training, he is an independent leader with strong mentoring, supervisory, and motivational abilities. Having grown in the industry, Cepelak is most fascinated with pairing beers, wines, and cocktails with gourmet food and farm to table concepts.

In his free time, Jonathan loves to cook and soak up the culture and cuisine of other areas for inspiration. Cepelak is also an avid sports enthusiast; he enjoys playing basketball, reading and participating in various outdoor activities. Jonathan more specifically enjoys following Duke basketball as both his parents and brother attended the school. Cepelak also follows the NBA Pelicans, as a lot of his favorite players from Duke are now on the team.

Ultimately, Jonathan Cepelak hopes to further develop a career in restaurant and hospitality management by becoming a General Manager of an organization. With plans to enroll in SUNY Delhi University’s online program this year, Cepelak hopes to learn more about event planning and business management. Eventually, Jonathan would like to own and run a restaurant.
